RC&D Project Support
Lake Agassiz RC&D provides financial and technical assistance for community development and natural resource projects that fall within the scope and mission of the Council Area Plan and Annual Plan of Work. To request financial and/or technical assistance, contact the RC&D office or submit a Project Proposal outlining your proposed activity and related need. The RC&D Assistant, Shelly Pingel, and the NRCS RC&D Coordinator, Steve Fischer, are available to assist with project development. RC&D projects must provide a public benefit, be sponsored by an eligible sponsor, and address the goals and objectives of the Lake Agassiz RC&D Council.
Financial Assistance: Limited RC&D financial assistance is available to various qualified organizations (i.e. a nonprofit organization, local unit of government, or special district). RC&D incentive funds can not be used for a project that has already been implemented, or for expenditures already incurred. To receive financial assistance, project proposals must be reviewed and approved by the Lake Agassiz RC&D Council before the project begins.
Technical Assistance: The Lake Agassiz staff can provide technical assistance with project coordination, planning, and facilitation; locating funding sources; grant proposal development; and bringing in additional project partners and technical service providers. They are also available to help facilitate community planning and provide additional resources available from NRCS and other partners.
