Invasive Species

The spread of invasive and noxious weeds is a serious concern across the entire state of North Dakota. RC&D Councils continually consider opportunities that may help to provide resources and assistance for education and control related to this ongoing threat to our environmrnt.

RC&D Councils work closely with Soil Conservation Districts and other partners to assist local efforts, often working to secure grant funds to support local efforts. Visit with your local council to check out possible funding and/or technical assistance available in your area.

 Project Safe Send

This program is offered by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture for disposal of unwanted or unuseable pesticides that have accumulated in locations across the state.  The Department of Agriculture establishes statewide collection sites where the general public can deliver these pesticides for final disposal, once a year.  This is a free service, and information and details including annual collection dates and collection sites, can be found on the Pesticide Page of the Department of Agriculture website.

All programs and services of the RC&D Councils are offered on a non-discriminatory basis, without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital or family status, disability or political beliefs.
