Preschool Education Grants

Early childhood education programs in north central North Dakota are encouraged to apply for grant funds from the Northern Plains RC&D Council.  New and existing preschool programs operating in Ramsey, Benson, Eddy, Towner, Rolette and Cavalier Counties and on the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa and Spirit Lake reservations are all eligible to apply.  Grant funds can be used for curriculum, materials, and educational supplies.  Emphasis will be placed on applications that involve the development of new programs or the expansion of existing programs.  Applicants must be a state licensed preschool facility or in the process of obtaining a license.  The goal is to provide more access to quality preschool programs.  Completed grant applications must be received in the Northern Plains RC&D office by January 3, 2011 to be considered for funding.  The average grant award will be between $1,000 and $2,000.  Applications are available at the link below or at the Northern Plains RC&D Office, located in the USDA Service Center in Devils Lake.
